Pandemic, quarantine, a real-life experiences of pseudo reverse migration

2020-9-13 Sunday, the day before flying back to Taiwan
We flew back from Taiwan to stay away from the thread and inconvenience of Corovid-19, on February 19.

Quarantined at the home where we have been living for more than 15 years is a piece of cake. Actually ever since returning from Taiwan  

2020-9-14 Monday

There was a long line waiting for taxi. The policewoman tola me it might take an hour to clear up and I'd better wait inside. After an hour I went out and saw no line and some taxies waiting for riders. Filling out a form and receiving whole body sanitization with both hands raised at shoulder level a regular-sized taxi took me to my new home. The drive, who didn't respond to my friendly chatting, printed out a receipt for me to sign. It shows NT$$1350.00. I gave him $1,500 and told him to keep the changes. He seemed to be surprised.

For the first time in life, I explored a new home all by myself. There were several urgent actions awaiting. 1. Make sure the key points were clean enough for immediate usage. 2. Check the items left from the previous owner. 3. Open the boxes of utensils prepared by Tina's friend, Lisa. 4. Open the boxes of items purchased by Tina's cousin, Chester. 5. Find something to eat from the refrigerator stuffed by Chester. 6. Prepared the bedroom for sleeping. 7. Make sure I know the routes and procedures for emergency exit, including the complicated ways of opening the doors. 8. Notify the people involved in regarding my safe arrival.

The first thing was to empty the luggage and drop everything in the big drawers in the wall-wide built-in dresser of the second bedroom. The dresser has a table section at the corner where I could place my notebook computer.

Then I opened the boxes of utensils that Tina's friend, Lisa, prepared for us.

1. 澈夜未眠，不是失眠，忙不停，理越亂
2. 總算準時見到來載去機場的朋友。到機場報到時發現是最後的承客。
3. 睡到吸亞圖，學會搭兩趟鐵輪車抵達登機門。等機們人影稀少本不稀奇。機艙內跟待機（俟雞）區顯得自然
4. 一個地下工作人員的獨白。
5. 空服員退休後轉行的空間（嗎的用法）印象中聽到空服員問說，「要不要喝茶嗎？」拿這個去跟三位空服員聊天。兩位說好像聽過。另一位確定說法錯誤。

2020-9-15 Tuesday

在飛機上居然一點點想聽音樂、讀書的慾望都沒有。原因是上機前整夜沒睡。一旦上飛機了，就累得要命。一直睡了。

Received a phone call from Tina about coming home shortly after 12pm. Called the guard station about the need for them to open the elevator for Tina. The person answering phone didn't seem to know the situation.

Went to be earlier than usual, before midnight.  Woke up shortly and started to draft. with pen on paper, a new lyric for the 1b of Vaccai practical exercise in Taiwanese.

Woke up shortly before 5am. Started to type in the new lyric into a spreadsheet with revisions.

李登輝說，民之所欲常在我心。社工員說，民之所需常在我心。回想到在唸書時就想到需與欲的區別。社工之助不在於「助所欲」雖然必須讓欲與需整合。園丁基金會的住比較接近「助所欲」，不怕好上加好，錦上添花。
