Pandemic, lockdown, and the words from above
This first draft is for sharing with Pastor Aline.
It's been almost half a year that we, the whole world, simmer in the muddle something we hardly know.
Our lives, activities, habits, and many things are affected more and more seriously.
Today, as we prepare for the special Sunday that we don't have regular online worship service and are encouraged to participate in the online worship services of other churches, I cannot help but think about what we are expected to get out of this in terms our growth, especially the spiritual growth.
Another challenge to me is about capturing, documenting, and telling what we can witness regarding this greatest revelation from the above ever since the creation of this world.
One of the key things I receive is about the new ways, including the new forms, of worshiping our creator Father, actually the Trinity God.
There must be some message attached to whatever we are going through.

The first thing, among all the acts of knowledge development, is to identify what's going on at various new levels and new dimensions.
The first purpose of this jotting was to capture the revelation about how we could improve or advance our virtual worship services. One way among all is to identify or innovate new steps, those requiring non-physical presence, in the worship services.
Without articulating on the theories and the theology of worship I am in a hurry of jotting down the ideas I ran across since I got out of the bed this morning about an hour ago. It is 11:02pm now. The main point is about talking to God in the worship service. Conventionally, we talk to God through singing and praying. Now I start to realize that we actually talk to God through the sharing of the communal concerns, such as talking about the upcoming events and those we have gone through. Superficially those talking appear to be the business talks for those involved. Now I see those talk as reporting to God. Based on this new realization the new ideas of worship units come.
We could add the virtual meeting part following the sermons or the singing of a hymn, with individuals sharing their testimony on personal growth or needs by starting an online meeting, regardless of how many actually check-in. The main point, perhaps, is not in how many receive the messages abut how many gains from disclosing in public. Those disclosing their own testimony are the ones receiving the effect of worshiping.
Certainly, we need to compile some guidelines about this kind of sharing, such as scheduling, the key points to be shared, the length, the languages along with the translation needed, the boundaries of disclosure, the documentation for future extension of the effect... The bottom line is the understanding of the theology of sharing personal information in our journey of faith and the definition of gospel.
This is not an easy task but certainly a major advancement in our practices of worship. 11:16 6/20/2020
